Start feeling fit with expert guidance to help you swim safely and efficiently in the sea.
This six-week course aims to help you start to overcome body confidence issues, get fitter and have fun learning new skills in a supportive environment. You will be guided through the basics of front crawl alongside adaptation to sea swimming and sea safety. Your sea swimming technique will undoubtedly improve along the way.
Participating in this autumn sea swim course will set you up in a good routine and rhythm for the winter months ahead, providing the perfect opportunity to maintain a healthy, nourishing practice all year round.
You will be swimming in a small group (maximum of six) to ensure your needs are catered for throughout the course, with individual tuition and support.
This course will only run if at least four people book on to it.
In the event of the course being cancelled, your deposit will be refunded in full.

Wednesdays from September 7 to October 12
(plus reserve date: October 19th)
Battery Rock, Wherrytown or Penzance harbour (all within Mount’s Bay), depending on conditions.
The nearest car park to all these venues is St Anthony’s car park, TR18 4AU.
£135 for six sessions.
A deposit of £60 is required to book your place.
The remaining £75 is payable at least seven days before the start of the course.
Sea swimming experience:
You need to be able to swim at least 200 metres continuously, preferably further, and have at least six months’ experience of swimming in any stroke in the sea, so you are comfortable in a range of sea and weather conditions.
A wetsuit, goggles, swim cap and tow float must be worn.

Depending on sea conditions, the water entry point will be at one of the three Penzance venues specified above.

This course will run in the rain!
As far as possible we will keep to the specified times and dates, so you will be swimming and learning in a range of conditions, within safe parameters.
On occasion, unsafe weather/sea conditions may mean we need to reschedule a session (hence the reserve date).
